BO NINGEN
(Alternativ rock - Japon/Londres, UK)
Bo Ningen are a Japanese four-piece alternative rock band consisting of Taigen Kawabe (bass/ vocals), Yuki Tsujii (guitar), Kohhei Matsuda (guitar) and Monchan Monna (drums). Though they come from Gumma, Tajimi, Nishinomiya, and Tokyo in Japan, they coalesced in London.
Wooed by many high-profile acts wanting to take them on tours and featured as icons in McQ by Alexander McQueen’s campaign and works by Juergen Teller, as well as some of the world’s biggest festivals putting their name on their lineup including Glastonbury, Coachella, and Fuji Rock, BO NINGEN embody today’s art/music scene where crossovers of different cultures are flourishing. They are fusing disparate sounds and influences into a fierce, eclectic torrent of grooves and bringing them across the oceans.
This journey has been a success - Bo Ningen’s fearsome live reputation has led them to tour and appear with such notable artists as Nick Cave, Primal Scream, Super Furry Animals, Kasabian, TV on the Radio, The Fall, and Savages to name a few.
Their iconic look is only surpassed by their intense live performances, which have earned them a place as one of the most captivating live acts in the UK. Featured at some of the world’s biggest festivals including Glastonbury, Coachella, Fuji Rock, Off Festival, Yoko Ono’s Meltdown Festival, Colours of Ostrava and voted ‘Best Live Act’ at Green Man festival.
May 2021 saw the band issue their unique take on their first album completely ‘rebuilding, mixing & remastering to create ‘Rebuilt’ their vision of how their first album would sound in 2021.
With the release of Holy Mountain scheduled for May 2023 to coincide with the films 50th anniversary, new material being written and recorded plus their recent UK tour including several sold out shows, Bo Ningen are bringing their quest for artistic invention to the fore.

STOREFRONT CHURCH
(Dark folk - Los Angeles, USA)
Storefront Church’s surreal, lush, and dark atmospheres are the creation of Los Angeles musician Lukas Frank. The project’s full-length debut, As We Pass, arrived in 2021.
Born and raised in Los Angeles, Frank found work as a session musician starting at age 18 and spent time as a touring drummer for Portugal. The Man and many others before setting to work on a solo project. Drawing influence from the likes of Pink Floyd and Scott Walker, he recorded the Storefront Church EP with several friends including Marshall Vore (Phoebe Bridgers), Bram Inscore (Twin Shadow), Waylon Rector (The Drums, Alaska Reid) and engineer Cassidy Turbin (BECK, Tashaki Miyaki). The completed EP was self-issued in late 2017.
He eventually drew the interest Sargent House, which reissued the EP in 2019. His first song for the label, "The Gift," was featured on the Netflix series The Queen's Gambit. Recorded with collaborators including DIIV's Zachary Cole Smith, Storefront Church's debut album, As We Pass, followed in May 2021.
Most recently, Lukas was on tour supporting DIIV in Europe, is currently gearing up to release a covers EP with it’s first single featuring Phoebe Bridgers coming December 2nd, is scoring a documentary film, writing the theme song for upcoming AMC series Monsieur Spade, recording an EP for a side project with Deafheaven’s Kerry McCoy, and producing GZA of Wu-Tang Clan’s next solo record.
