Rosa Vertov
Roza Vertov is an electronic composer/musician currently based in Pantin near Paris, France. Classically trained in Morocco where he was born and raised, Vertov creates a politically charged music that highlights his feminist and anti-imperialist views while infusing his eclectic influences spanning from arabic classics to noisy and industrial techno. The result is a rather dark electro-pop with an obvious goal to preserve a radical DIY aesthetic.
Vertov's first self-produced EP, titled "Destroy The Male Sex" as a wink to Valerie Solanas' seminal SCUM Manifesto, was released in 2014 after DJing in various LGBTQ+ clubs, an experience he deemed cathartic. After a long dedicated to his visual art work, Vertov came back to DJing and producing music with a second self-produced EP called "MANIFESTO" set to be released in December, 2018.
